Cutting machine operator
Cutting machine operators manufacture, for instance, metal precision components for a wide variety of technical products.
Another task is that of setting up modern turning, cutting, drilling and grinding machines and writing programs for operating CNC machines. The metal parts and tools are clamped in the machines and subsequently, the operating process must be initiated. When malfunctions occur, the cause must be determined and addressed using a suitable test method and inspection equipment.
To train as a machine cutting operator, you must fulfill the following prerequisites:
- At least a lower secondary school leaving certificate
- Good grades in science subjects
- Technical interest
- Spatial ability
- Enjoy practical work
- Physical resilience
- Diligent manner of working
- Ability to work in a team
